Credit Suisse to set up KPO center in Pune, India

October 11, 2007

Swiss bank, Credit Suisse, is planning to open a KPO center in the Indian city of Pune, where the bank currently has BPO operations. The KPO center is expected to be operational by the end of October 2007 with 50 employees. The centre would initially cater to equity domains in research, derivatives, sales, and proprietary trading and client centricity.

The bank is also ramping up its BPO operations at its Pune-based unit, by adding a 1,400-seater delivery center to its existing BPO operations of 800 seats. Credit Suisse global head of Centres of Excellence Nick Bloom, said, “We are setting up our first KPO at the centre of excellence here. We have four such centres but this is the first where we are setting up a KPO." He added that they will expand the KPO operations, possibly at its CoE (Centre of Excellence) in Wroclaw, Poland.
